One way for a business to keep in the public's eye is through newsletters.  You can have a function on your web site that allows for people to sign up to receive information from you in the form of a newsletter every so often.  This is a great way to follow up with clients and present your products or services and also by bringing up topics that they would not have been aware of otherwise.  It also doesn't hurt to keep you in the front of their mind! Don't let people forget about you...

There are two types of newsletters that a business might send out.  One is a "snail mail" newsletter, where someone signs up on your mailing list and a newsletter gets printed and sent out in the mail to those persons on your list.  Another way, and what has become most popular among business owners, is an email newsletter.  Businesses are finding this to be quick and efficient, sending them to people who have already expressed interest.  Email newsletters are a great way to get the word out about promotions, products, issues in your field, and other topics or things that the client might want to be aware of.

What kind of things can you address in a newsletter?  Anything from products to services that you provide or issues that you want people to be aware of.  Newsletters are a great way to get through to your target market.  Newsletters are meant to be sent to those people who you KNOW would have an interest in what you do--i.e. your target market.  People in your industry or people who you know would use your products.  Because you are targeting a specific audience your circulation is decreased (rather than sending it to everyone in a certain area) BUT you will be mailing people who WILL read it.  This can give you an advantage to marketing.

Ask your web designer or computer technician to set you up with a newsletter on outlook, or something similar.  If you need any recomendations, I can surely recommend a fantastic technician who can handle all of your computer related needs.
