The Ten Commandments of Website Design

1. Thou shall not use frames.  Keep it simple.  Frames are a little too complex for a business website.  They make a website look outdated and unless there is a real need for them, they should be avoided at all costs.

2. Thou shall use a unique approach to the design of your business' website.  Stand out from your competitors and brand your company's image.  Don't use a generic, cookie-cutter template.  Research your competitors websites to get an idea of what NOT to do.

3.  Thou shall use colors in your page designs to compliment your image.  Make appropriate choices that will appeal to all walks of life.

4. Thou shall make the design look great on both low-end and high-end systems.

5. Thou shall not use popups!!!  They're annoying and will drive your clients away.

6. Thou shall use spell checker.

7. Thou shall not use too many different fonts on a page... use two at most.

8.  Thou shall have a focused and easy to use navigation.

9.  Thou shall check your design on multiple browsers for the best optimization.

10. Thou shall use the golden rule of thumb: 15 second page load maximum.
